Minnie and I created a shelved piece of furniture for the class. First, we selected a design from a reference, then we used Autodesk Inventor to create the file. We assembled the pieces, taking into account the machine's limitations and aiming to minimize the amount of manual labor required.
The project was successful and everything went smoothly. The furniture needs sanding, but overall, it was fun to work on
With Citlali, we learned to use Wekinator, a tool for creating your own dataset. I worked with Everardo. Using a face recognition grid, we taught Wekinator to distinguish between when we were smiling and when we had a resting face.
I already knew how to use the CNC machine, so it would have been nice to undertake a more challenging or innovative task. Wekinator is a very useful tool, especially for creating something more personalized. It would have been better to do this exercise closer to the beginning of the master's program.
